Hopi Ear Candles Also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy - is the practice of placing a candle or a hollow cone in the ear and using it with heat as a method of treating various conditions. Ear candling dates back thousands of years to 2500BC. Many different civilisations, such as Egyptians; Ancient Greeks; Latin Americans; Chinese; Indians and Shaman healers; show evidence of this practice. Today's candle treatments are credited as having descended mainly from the Pueblo Indians of North America and the Hopi Indians of the Shoshone Indian division. It is a non-invasive, absolutely painless treatment which produces amazing results and benefits.

Candle Treatment - Benefits
Candle Treatment - How It Works Lying comfortably on your side, the candle is gently placed into the outer ear. It is lit and held in a vertical position. You will then experience a warm comfortable feeling as the candle slowly burns. The flame creates a gentle vibration of air within the candle, generating a massage-like effect on the eardrum. This produces a feeling of warmth and a balance of pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses. The candle is allowed to burn down until it reaches a specific point (marked on its side). It is taken away whilst you relax for a few moments. The process is then repeated on the other ear. This is followed by a facial massage and ear massage.
