Yoga For People with Special Needs.
The primary intention of Yoga and Yoga Therapy for people with special needs is to help each individual to reach their full potential. People who have a learning disability or special needs often present a variety of symptoms. These include being in a heightened state of stress. They reside in a survival mode as they attempt to cope with life. These high states of stress can be calmed by a balanced regular Yoga practice. Yoga gently resets the nervous system and facilitates a feeling of internal safety and security. The benefits of the practice of Yoga for people with special needs include :-

The practice incorporates all of these areas into a practical sequence which is modified to the individual or groups needs, abilities and attention level.
